Who are we?

We are ProductGuard - a trading style of Smart-Sure Ltd, an appointed representative of City & Commercial Ltd which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

What does this mean? Well, it means that we conduct our business in line with the rules and regulations implemented by the Financial Conduct Authority. It also means that all of our customers have peace of mind knowing that they are covered by a company operating within the current insurance laws of the United Kingdom.

Our policies are underwritten by City and Commercial Insurance Company (PCC) Limited re Smart Cover Insurance Cell or Acasta European Insurance Company Limited. Being underwritten is a legal requirement when selling insurance within the United Kingdom. Our customers often mention that they have been offered 'insurance' policies from other companies who are not regulated and claim to be offering a 'service plan'. Despite what they say, all insurance policies need to be underwritten and all companies providing these policies need to be regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. If it seems too good to be true - it probably is!

Although we are enormously proud of our internal procedures and the positive results they have gained over the years, we understand that mistakes can still happen when human intervention is required. We are committed to resolving all customer queries or issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
